Gabriel Weston Kaplan (born March 31, 1945) is an American actor, comedian, and professional poker player.[1] He played the title character in the 1970s sitcom Welcome Back, Kotter.
He later became a professional poker player and a commentator for the series High Stakes Poker on PokerGO.
Early life
Kaplan was born in Brooklyn, New York City, to a Jewish family.[2]
He was a student at New Utrecht High School but did not graduate.[3][4]
